Na área da segurança transfusional a investigaçao científica e o avanço tecnológico tem permitido uma maior sofisticaçao desde a selecçao dos dadores até a administraçao terapeutica do sangue ou dos componentes sanguíneos.
Na nova estrutura do IPS,IP uma das suas atribuiçoes é "promover e apoiar a investigaçao nos domínios da ciencia e tecnologia da área da medicina transfusional".
Assim sendo, pareceu-nos oportuno criar no site do IPS,IP, um espaço destinado quer a divulgaçao das áreas de investigaçao deste Instituto e respectivos projectos, quer a divulgaçao dos trabalhos publicados e apresentados em congressos.
Pareceu-nos igualmente oportuno aproveitar este espaço para anunciar algumas das actividades de formaçao a promover por esta instituiçao, nomeadamente cursos e workshops.
Finalmente, e nao menos importante, este espaço irá também ser aproveitado para destacar, com carácter regular, notícias que possam divulgar os últimos avanços científicos nesta área.
